1. Copyright

2. License grant

Subject to these terms, the Developer grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use FMScriptBridge on computers you own or control, for your own FileMaker development work.

The license is PERPETUAL and one-time. It does not expire, does not renew, and there is no subscription. One license covers 2 of your machines at a time; you may move it between your own machines yourself, at any time, from within the plug-in.

Before buying, a free 14-day trial gives you the whole tool with no card and no obligation. Starting it takes one online call; after that it works offline for the rest of its window, as a purchased license does.

3. Restrictions

You may not:

• • redistribute, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise make FMScriptBridge available to any third party;
• • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble FMScriptBridge, or attempt to defeat or circumvent its license check, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
• • remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
• • use FMScriptBridge on more machines at a time than your license covers;
• • use FMScriptBridge to build or assist a competing product.

4. Purchase, updates & machines

• • Purchases are processed by Polar, acting as merchant of record; your purchase is also subject to their terms.
• • Your purchase includes 12 months of updates, counted from the day you ACTIVATE the license rather than the day you pay. Versions released inside that window are yours to install.
• • When that window ends, FMScriptBridge keeps working — permanently, with every version you were entitled to. Only newer builds are outside it. A later update pass is an optional one-time purchase; it is never automatic, never recurring, and nothing is charged unless you choose to buy one.
• • FMScriptBridge validates its license LOCALLY. It needs the internet once, to activate, and then works offline indefinitely. It does not phone home to keep working, and it does not stop working if the Developer's servers are unreachable or cease to exist.

5. Refunds

The free 14-day trial is the evaluation period: it gives you the whole tool, with no card, so you can find out whether FMScriptBridge works for you before any money changes hands. For that reason there is no separate change-of-mind refund window.

If FMScriptBridge is defective or not as described, contact [email protected] and the Developer will put it right or refund you. Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your own country, which applies regardless of this section.

Where EU or UK consumer law grants a 14-day withdrawal right for digital content, checkout asks for your express consent to immediate delivery and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose that right; your purchase confirmation restates it. Your statutory rights for a defective product are unaffected.

6. Your scripts & privacy

FMScriptBridge converts your scripts locally, on your own machine. Your FileMaker scripts are not transmitted to the Developer in normal use. Optional diagnostic reports are opt-in; redaction is applied to them, and you review a report's contents yourself before it is sent. See the key facts section for details.

7. Clipboard, redaction & data disclosure

FMScriptBridge operates on your system clipboard. Content you copy, convert, or paste, including scripts that may contain credentials, keys, or personal data, is placed on the clipboard, where other software on your machine may be able to read it, and content you paste into a third-party service (such as an AI assistant) is transmitted to that service and governed by its terms, not these.

The redaction assist flags text matching known secret and personal-data patterns for your review and can replace flagged values with placeholders. It is heuristic and best-effort: it may fail to identify any given secret, for example credentials in formats it does not recognize, values assembled by calculation at runtime, or fields it does not model or that FileMaker renames, and it detects personal data only in limited forms. It is an aid to your own review, not a substitute for it, and not a guarantee that shared content is free of confidential information.

You are solely responsible for reviewing content before sharing it. The Developer does not warrant that the redaction assist will detect or remove any particular information and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, is not liable for any disclosure of information contained in content you copy, convert, or share.

8. Trademarks

FMScriptBridge and FMSB are marks of the Developer. FileMaker and Claris are trademarks of Claris International Inc.; FMScriptBridge is an independent product and is not affiliated with, authorized, or endorsed by Claris. Mac and Windows are trademarks of their respective owners. These names are used only to describe compatibility.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

FMScriptBridge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that FMScriptBridge is error-free or uninterrupted, that every script step converts, or that the redaction assist identifies any particular information. You are responsible for keeping backups of your FileMaker solutions, and for testing converted scripts before relying on them in production.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profit, or business, or for any disclosure of information as described in the clipboard, redaction & data disclosure section, arising from your use of FMScriptBridge, under any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. The Developer's total aggregate liability under these terms will not exceed the total amount you paid the Developer for the FMScriptBridge license giving rise to the claim. These limits apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose.

11. What these limits do not touch

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, willful misconduct or gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing here limits any statutory right you have as a consumer under the law of your own country.

12. High-risk use

FMScriptBridge is a developer tool for converting FileMaker script steps to text and back. It is not designed, tested, or licensed for use in environments where a failure could lead to death, personal injury, or severe physical or environmental damage, such as medical or life-support systems, aviation, or the operation of critical infrastructure, and you agree not to use it in any such environment.

13. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions stay in full force. If a limitation or exclusion in these terms is not allowed in your jurisdiction, the Developer's liability is instead limited to the greatest extent that jurisdiction permits.

14. Changes to these terms

The Developer may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of FMScriptBridge after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
